The Longest Ice Block Bath from China
In every year, China always held a unique bath tradition for men that also held as a huge competition. The goal of this competition is to take the new record of the most strong men ever in that year. This is also well known as ice block bath tradition in China.
This ice block bath tradition is usually held on the New Year’s eve, when the snow is falls down slowly and the winter is come to their town. The men who want to follow this competition will be placed on the cube and their body will be covered with ice block until their neck. Many people just comes around them to keep the safety of the men who follow this competition, and there are also some medical experts that stay in the area.
Wim Hof, a Dutch people, is the holder of the world’s record on this competition. He takes the longest ice block bath tradition, for 115 minutes. The previous record holder is Chen Kecai. In this year, Kecai want to break his previous record with Jim Songhao. Kecai starts to shivering after 40 minutes, but the doctor said that Kecai still can continue the competition. And, he stay in the block for 118 minutes, break Wim Hof’s record. But unfortunately, Jim Songhao just stay a little bit longer than him, for 120 minutes. Well, the holder of the ice block bath tradition record this year is holded by Jim Songhao then.
